BOB
I have to say that the polynomial unit was the easiest unit for me so far. I think that it really was due to the fact that most of what we covered was stuff that I already learned from a few years ago, just applied in a different fashion. The long division was a great example of that. I remember learning long division back in elementary school and all we really did different with it is throw in variables in order to factor larger polynomial equations. I'm glad that this past unit was so easy for me and hope that the units coming up will be the same for me.

B.O.B. Number 3
I really enjoyed this past unit, compared to other units. The long division was my favorite part by far. I loved finishing the problems, it made me feel pretty accomplished. Somethings I could have been better prepared for, such as doing the sum of cubes and rational zeros theorem, which I was able to complete correctly in the end, but it was difficult to get at first. Looking at the test if I would have just took a little more time to run over simple mistakes like missing negatives and what not, I most likely would have succeeded a higher grade.

B.O.B #3
This past unit has not been to bad. The material has been pretty nice. I have come to find that asking questions and staying after and all that kind of stuff has come to really halp my understanding of the unit. I've never really needed to stay after for my classes before, or I've just chosen not to. So needing all of this help on school related stuff has been different and yet, worth it. Being able to understand what I'm learning has been really nice. And having a teacher to lean on when I'm feeling like I could tip over has been nice to. Sometimes you can't figure it out on your own, so a teacher is kinda like a crutch. Its been a good time.

BoB#3- Polynomials
I would have to say that polynomials really wasn't a tricky spot for me. I picked up the methods quickly and understand how to do the problems. :) I realized that once I started to open up my brain a little bit more and started remembering things I learned in previous math classes, the easier it was to comprehend what I was doing and make things work, not just regurgitating information for a grade. I also think that I did better in this past units and will continue to do better in the units to come because instead of focusing on how to keep an "A", I started focusing on what I was doing and what I could do better. Isn't that always the case? When we look to the finish line with the only goal in mind as being #1 at the beginning of a race, how can we even hope to obtain that without the many hours of intense pracitices and sacrifices? :)

polynomials unit b.o.b
This unit we learned about about polynomials and how to factor them. This was my favorite unit because I always wondered how to convert equations from standard form into factored form. I mainly enjoyed factoring third degree equations by using the difference of cubes. Here is an example.
a^3 + b^3 = (a + b)(a^2 + ab + b^2)
if you have the equation 125x^3 + 64 your sum of cubes would look like
(5x + 4)(25x^2 + 20x + 16)
Sometimes, you can factor out the second part of the equation, but in this case you cannot and this equation will only give you one x intercept at -4/5.

BOB-polynomials
I thought this unit was a pretty fun unit. I wasn't very challenged in the unit, but when it came to the test, and there was all the dividing I needed to do, I messed up a bunch and had to keep doing it. So I really need to work on thinking about subtracting a negative/subtracting a positive. My favorite part of the unit was graphing. I have no idea why, but it was just kinda fun because a lot of the graphs were super up and down and moving all over the place.
I didn't like the rational zeros theorem, it just felt like it took a lot of time and wasn't very helpful.
