Reflection
For this project, I put a lot of thought into which
problems I would use. I wanted to makes sure I chose problems that were
challenging, and problems that reflected my wide range of mathematical
understanding. My objective was to give
my viewer a complete picture of all the concepts that we have learned in this
class. To do this, I chose problems from
each unit that illustrated that I am not just an expert in one area of
functions, but that I am expert in a wide range of pre-calculus functions concepts
including factoring a polynomial, completing the square, finding the inverse of
a function, and simplifying rational expressions. By doing this assignment, I learned that
being an expert is no easy task. It requires a lot of time and hard work to
successfully explain to others what you know so that they can understand it. I hope
I was successful in doing this in this project.
Doing this project also helped me realize how each of the concepts we
learned this trimester fit together. In my opinion it served as a good review
for the exam. I believe I have gained a
lot of knowledge of pre-calculus functions this trimester, and I look forward
to applying this knowledge to other more advanced calculus courses.
