One thing I thought was particularly cool in this unit was the use of profits. Normally in math classes when we have story problems they are something such as "if you had twenty watermelons and gave three of them away how many would you have" (obviously more complicated than that one would be to solve but the same general idea). Those amounts just seem completely unrealistic and the problems seem like a waste of time. However profit seemed to be more realistic and something that relates to real life. While in my chosen future field of work I won't use that, I still enjoy using realistic amounts and numbers. It's kind of cool to see how math relates to the real world.

I'll see you in a few to take the test...only one profit type of equation on the test!
